Despite the tabloid headlines, spending on management consultants will continue throughout 2010 and beyond. The public sector just can't operate without them. Think about it: Community-Led Enterprises, Shared Services, Total Place. How is all that going to be introduced and implemented whilst 'business as normal' activities are streamlined and squeezed?

Here's the deal. You can continue to serve local communities and help maintain services. But do it working as a local government management consultant with one of the leading firms. And your employer will be an organization recognised as one of the best big companies to work for.
To join them, you'll need to be working in local government, or be consulting to it. You might be the product of a local authority graduate management/professional training scheme, or have moved into the sector after qualifying as an accountant or HR specialist. Your expertise might be in IT, or procurement, or customer contact. Whatever your background or skill, this firm would like to hear about you - but only if you are at the very top of your game.

The firm wants to recruit local government professionals for ranks from Analyst to Senior Manager, for roles at consulting offices in the major population centres in England. Are you ready to use your experience to help local authorities face the squeeze?
