Senior Plc is an international manufacturing Group. Senior designs, manufactures and markets high technology components and systems for the principal original equipment producers in the worldwide aerospace, defence, land vehicles and energy markets.

With a turnover of c£550m, this highly profitable and cash generative FTSE listed plc employs around 4,750 people across 26 operations in 11 countries

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director and with a strong dotted line to the Audit Committee, this role will be expected to work closely with the business to ensure that risks are being effectively identified, recorded and mitigated through the Group’s risk management processes. The audit plan must align with the key risks and continually evolve to ensure that the internal control environment is robust, but also support the commercial demands of the organisation. The Head of Internal Audit is regarded as a business partner and is expected to be involved in high profile projects, investigations and other ad hoc assignments.

The position requires a qualified accountant who has gained a significant amount of practical experience in a blue chip, multinational environment. It will demand an individual who can refine the vision for the function and support the evolution of the Group’s assurance processes towards global best practice. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to deliver on stretching targets and to influence the decision making of the Audit Committee and main Board will be essential.
